Stevie’s recent designs explore Multi.Sensory Art- including Environmental Art Installations with emphasis on sensory experiences, radical materiality, scale, time, and frivolity. Her large scale food arts range in scale from three feet to one acre and explore the relationships of landscape and food, ephemeral and extensive time, scent and place, and use of media for large scale public effect.

Questioning traditional practices has been a large part of Stevie’s artwork for over twenty years. Understanding the community and individual stories of a site, and working with light, color, texture, scent, scale are part of the process she uses to create site-specific Earthworks. She is widely recognized for the interactive nature of her work as well as her inclusion of humor, remediation and environmentally friendly media that speak volumes about her environmental consciousness.
