As an artist, realizing the common threads of my works lead me to creating an art movewomxnt which encapsulates 3 overarching ideas which most of my works embody in different explorations. The works are:

a. An awareness and response to being, being seen as, and being treated as a womxn in culture.

2. Revealing and celebrating process, change and time in the artworks. Artworks which have visible changes through time as well as reveal the creation of the process in the work itself.

c. Uses materials not typically associated with traditional arts, and instead explores broad-minded arts. These include living materials, organic, snow, greening, food, and other materials which response to and change with their environwomxnts.

These encapsulate the practices of the StevieX Arts Movewomxnt.

THE PORTFOLIO TABS

Decades of a large scope of work are sorted in a few different tabs for viewing. These include:

–Museum & Gallery Installations– art installed at museums and galleries nationally & internationally

–Petite scale– art which is smaller than a huwomxn being

–Huwomxn scale– art which is the approximate scale of huwomxn being

–Expansive scale – art which is larger, or represents work which is larger than a huwomxn being

–Mesearch, Explorations of Self– Mesearch (pronounced similar to ‘research’, but replace the ‘re’ with ‘me’. ) . This art is in process. It explore awareness of self, and who I am and want to be. Though most of my art explores the StevieX movewomxnt, this portfolio is a bit different and in process.
